Hacken team has recently organized the first AMA session with our CEO Dyma Budorin on Discord since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We realize that you are worrying about our team, their family members, friends, and all people living in Ukraine. Our country is on fire. The last time Ukraine saw such a huge disaster was in 1944. And now, 78 years later, Ukrainian cities and villages are bombarded by the Russian terrorist army.
But almost all members of the Hacken team are in a safe place and we are working 24/7. We are defending Ukraine in the digital space using all means available.
In this AMA session, Dyma has shared what is going on in Hacken right now, what is our role in this war, how can everyone contribute to defeating Russia, and what are our next actions. Read AMA’s recap and support Ukraine.
Q: We are concerned about the health of you and your team, and most importantly, the health of your families.
A: Our physical health is ok. However, not all my and colleagues’ family members are safe and sound. It is quite painful mentally. There is a huge desire to go back and take weapons but we understand that we can help much more if we stay and focus 24/7 on what we can do best. The moral spirit of our team is extremely high. Our marketing team is constantly helping to spread the word about disBalancer’s and HackenProof’s initiatives.
Q: In the Washington Post’s article about disBalancer it was mentioned that the Physical Army and Communications / Cyber Army are nearly equally important. So as your team is super effective on the IT side, I am sure your tech efforts more than compensate for not being there physically!! 🤘🏼
A: That’s true. But we need to do more. Putler federation’s critical infrastructure is the main target of the upcoming big hacks.
Q: With that DDoS move (app and cyberwar), did they get some eyes on? Investors? Big funds? Exchanges?
A: Ukrainian IT guild is voluntarily involved in building DDoS right now. The product is being built by the best Ukrainian engineers with crazy speed and quality. It is hard to describe the level of current cooperation between Ukrainians and the whole world that is helping DDoS. This story will become a legend. But we are not thinking about it. We are at war and now it’s not the time to think about what will be after the victory. Neither Russian Federation cybersec nor its troops are as strong as expected.
The moral spirit of the Ukrainian nation is just getting stronger every day. We will fight till the end, while we do understand that the fucker can drop a nuclear bomb on our homeland. No one is afraid because the whole world is standing with us today. The truth is on our side.
It’s very important to keep on spreading the word and talk to every Russian and Belorussian citizen about their invasion. It is a fact that Russians are still not aware of what is going on. Their media are telling them that there is a small special operation and that it is going successfully today. Almost 6k Putler’s soldiers are dead. How many Russian soldiers need to die before Russians go on the streets?
My opinion is that the protests will start in Belarus. First, they already have leaders and, in 2020, all the world saw the first attempts of people living in Belarus to go on the streets. Lukashenko will go down very soon. It is a matter of a week, I guess. But in Russia, the situation is way more difficult. They put every non-propaganda voice in prison. At the moment, there is no opposition leader there but I have no doubts that soon we will see a new prominent leader in Russia. But it will not come alone. We need to go on the European, Asian, and American streets and call everyone all over the world to do the same to ensure that the world imposes the most powerful sanctions on Russia providing for stopping working with Russian companies and firing Russians.
Q: I saw that you guys are at the Barcelona mobile conference. What’s hacken doing there and what’s the strategy during the conference?
A: We had planned to visit this conference even before Russia invaded Ukraine. Jane (CBDO) and Igor (Head of sales) were there. It is a part of our business development. We need to grow our client base as a confirmation that Hacken operations are not affected despite 24/7 work.
Q: Hacken should be the spotlight given the terrible current situation.
A: If you start thinking about being in the spotlight, then you lose efficiency. It is a very mixed feeling today. I gave the interview to the BBC on Monday but refused to give an interview to the Washington Post (cause Sashko from disBalancer is definitely the biggest hero). Today we need to focus on our cyber targets and call people to speak loudly about what is going on in Ukraine.
Q: Would getting more eyes on Hacken and what DDoS is building help the fight? Now more than ever?
A: I receive hundreds of messages from journalists, funds, and cybersecurity companies. CEO of HackerOne wrote to me a few days ago. We will have a call soon.
We are in the spotlight more than enough. Ukraine must win the war, all thoughts on this. And how you can help — spread the word, speak with Russians, explain to them the consequences of the aggression of the Putler’s terrorist regime in Ukraine. If they don’t believe they can stop it immediately, explain to them that Russians have the power to change the regime by going on the streets.
Q: Do you think the meeting with the Russian delegation will lead to sth?
A: David Arakhamia who is leading the delegation is the best communication person I have ever met. BTW, he was helping Hacken in the deal with Coinmarketcap back in 2019 when we were creating the DATA alliance with them. He is in a very difficult position right now since the Ukrainian nation is experiencing euphoria. Only the total victory deal providing for the de-occupation of Crimea and Donbas can be accepted by the Ukrainian nation.
Q: Sad for those young lives taken for nothing but happy it is a disaster for the invaders
A: They started to surrender massively: they left their vehicles and ran away. Russian soldiers are not motivated to continue fighting against the Ukrainian nation.
Q: Are Ukrainian forces getting stronger or are they losing drive with time ongoing?
A: Right now you cannot join the army — no places. The same relates to regional defence organizations. The biggest problems are caused by missiles, NATO does not want to shelter the sky in Ukraine. On the ground, the Ukrainian army is winning completely.
Q: Life continues in the shadow of war. Are there any developments waiting for us in the near future related to Hacken and HAI token? Dubai conference will start soon and it is a good chance to see new partnerships. I keep on getting questions about the price of the HAI token from some people.
A: None of the product development and token utilities are postponed but please realize that we cannot proactively shill and execute our influence marketing campaigns as planned. Hacken will be very strong after the Ukrainian victory in this war, there is no doubt.
Q: Since your fight is on the information battlefield. You must know RT. And Russia was doing extensive information work targeting Latin Americans, a huge part of the global population usually describing the USA as an enemy. A lot of it is legit to a degree. The point here is they can relate to Ukraine, as Russia is the big bully much like the USA was for them. Now whether or not you agree with this point of view on American influence on Latin American geopolitics, lots of people there follow this narrative. Russia cannot win the information war there, they have the upper hand from years of media influence with RT, but Ukraine has the story they can relate too.
A: You need to speak to them. It is not the US war, they are not involved at all. There are many fakes provided by RT. We have never been on the US agenda, and Russia is not on the US agenda at all. But China is. And I say once again Putler has not expected that Ukrainians would fight. The war is absolutely out of Putler’s control.
