Since announcing our move from HKN to HAI, we have received a lot of feedback from our community members and HKN holders regarding the token swap ratio. After long discussions within the team and with our investors and partners, we’ve decided to further reward loyalty to HKN token holders by offering an option to increase your token swap ratio.
For our most loyal community members who are willing to lock up their HAI tokens for 3, 6 or 12 months, we have dramatically increased the ratio amounts from the original amount of 1:15.
For a 3-month lock-up, the ratio will be 1:17, for a 6-month lock-up you’ll get 1:21 and if you choose a 12-month lock-up option the ratio will be 1:30! Everything will be voluntary and you will be able to decide which option to choose. In this way, we want to encourage you to be more involved in the project development process and help us to make an incredible product.
Token Swap Procedure
Everyone will be able to perform the token swap directly from within the HackenAI application using just two steps.
After setting up the application and passing the CyberBootCamp, the swap function will become available. The first step in the swap process is choosing your lock-up period. Once chosen you will be given your unique HKN address to where you can send your HKN tokens.
When the transaction is completed you will get your HAI tokens directly to your HackenAI wallet. If you choose 3, 6 or 12-month lock-up you will also get your tokens immediately, but they will be locked using a smart-contract and not be available until the lock-up is finished.
The token lockup to increase your ratio will be available for a limited time only, while the normal swap function will stay available until further notice.
We are still on schedule to release the HackenAI app before the end of Q1 2020.
